Produced and Voiced Original 30-Second Audio Advertisement for Live Radio

Context
Created an original 30-second Mandarin radio advertisement as part of a live radio broadcast assignment. In addition to co-developing a group radio programme and hosting a personal 15-minute live segment, I took full charge of writing, recording, and editing the ad.
Purpose
To demonstrate creativity, voice performance, and technical editing skills in crafting a concise and engaging radio advertisement for Gen Z listeners.
Reflective Commentary:
As part of my Radio Production module, I independently created a 30-second Mandarin audio advertisement for our group’s radio programme. I wrote the ad script to match the programme’s theme and appeal to youth listeners, ensuring a clear call-to-action and energetic tone. I recorded and voiced the ad myself, then used Adobe Audition to layer background music, adjust sound levels, and refine pacing for a smooth, professional finish. The ad was later played as part of my solo 15-minute live radio segment, where I also introduced music and discussed light-hearted youth topics. While the live segment tested my confidence and timing, it was the ad production that truly sharpened my creativity and sound design skills. This experience deepened my appreciation for radio storytelling and taught me how to produce compelling short-form content from script to final audio.
